What a terrible advert for football that game was, especially considering the quality of both teams. Thank God for Messi's goal!

Typical Mourinho. He always plays for 0-0 at home, then 0-1 away.

Sure, he is a fantastic manager that wins a hellova lot. But his teams are incredibly boring and play horrible negative football.

Yes, we got another truly great moment in sport just yesterday

Without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, Cal Ripken Jr's record breaking 2,131 consecutive games. What an achievement! The O's put on quite the party in Camden Yards, with the president and vice president in attendance and everything. It was really sweet, his kids threw the first two pitches and to cap it off he hit a homer. What could be better? He is the greatest. At the top of the fifth inning, when the nuber officially fliped to 2131 he received a 22 minute standing ovation from the crowd, the opposing team and all the umpires. He's incredibly modest and had to be basically shoved out of the dugout to do his victory lap and shake hands and high five all the fans. I have a commemorative baseball from that game, signed by Cal himself. He's a local Maryland boy, which makes it even better really. I saw him once at a Minor League game, it was incredible! Yeeeeah, come on birds!
