Man Arrested for Having Sex With Inflatable Raft

An Ohio man was arrested on public indecency charges after cops caught him having sex with an inflatable raft, police said. Name edited out 32, was arrested at his home in Hamilton, near Cincinnati, early Sunday after he was spotted in the bizarre act in a nearby alley, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported. The owner of the raft told Hamilton Police Officer William Thacker he shouted at the suspect to stop.

"The witness stated the defendant appeared to be having sex with the raft due to the fact that his pants were down around his ankles," police wrote in the report. Name edited out pulled up his pants and fled with the raft, the report states. Police said he confessed. "Defendant advised officers that he was doing it but only because he has a problem and that he needs help and please don't send him to prison but send him somewhere to get help," the police report stated.

(AP) — Delaware Fish and Wildlife officials have charged a Pennsylvania man with driving under the influence after he continued to drive his truck after the boat and trailer he was towing flipped upside down.Forty-year-old Eric A. Willis of Avondale, Pa., was also charged with resisting arrest and numerous traffic offenses. He is being held on $5,000 cash bail. Authorities tell The News Journal of Wilmington that Willis was removing his pontoon from the water at Holts Landing and was towing it on Whites Neck Road when it hit a parked car and overturned.

Yet there’s something about seeing replays of the attacks ad nauseum on broadcast news, and commemorative/memorial ceremonies taking place city-wide that makes it much, much worse. It’s not a rhetorical question: Is there truly no better way to illustrate Turner’s commitment to corporate interests twelve seconds into an attack ad?

i don't know who the people are that you are talking about, not being into politics that much (as i am not) but just remember this....some people will do almost anything to promote themselves.
even using an event such as 9/11 because even though people will disapprove of such a campaign...it will still cause everyone to talk and to recognise them anyway.


you know....dodgy publicity is better than no publicity.

But I must ask, why on earth do (some?) American's say "I could care less" when I presume they mean "I couldn't care less"?

"I couldn't care less" is a phrase in England and it makes sense. It means it is impossible to care less, ie. You don't give a shit. But for some reason, people in America often say "I could care less", which means they must actually care a certain amount, which as far as I know is the complete opposite of what they mean. It's something I noticed on ER quite a few times but never mentioned it. It's very odd. Do people just mishear what the phrase is and then say the opposite of what they actually mean, or am I missing something here?

I've got to say, I'm not convinced. When spoken, they sound almost identical. Surely most users of the phrase have simply misheard the phrase and just never thought about what they are actually saying? But yeah, I guess some could be saying it almost sarcastically, but I can't really see how that would work very well. I smell a national cover-up. What do I know, I'm not American.

PHOENIX — A southern Arizona hog farmer said Thursday that she watched in horror as thousands of bees swarmed a 1,000-pound hog during an attack that lasted about two hours. I went out three times to hose him down," June Hewitt told The Associated Press. "The very last time I went, he lifted his head when I called his name, flicked his ears, and that was the end."

Farmers were trying to move a hive that weighed around 200 pounds when about 250,000 Africanized bees swarmed like a black cloud and attacked animals and workers, KOLD-TV reported. Hewitt said the attack killed her male pig, Franklin. An 800-pound pregnant sow nearby also was stung so many times that she went into a coma and lost her litter.

Bee expert Reed Booth said Franklin had no chance because Africanized bees had spread pheromones all over the farm animals, riling up other bees.

"The pigs started getting stung, and the pheromone was on the pig and that was the target area for the rest of the bees," Booth said. "So the rest of the bees went completely goofy and killed that poor pig. We watched him take his last breath." Booth said he can't explain why the bees are so agitated this year.

"It doesn't make any rhyme or reason," Booth said. "I've been doing this over 20 years. For some reason, this year, they're (Africanized bees) just going completely insane." Bee attacks aren't limited to the southern part of the state. A 49-year-old man in northern Arizona remained hospitalized after he was stung more than 1,000 times on Sunday. Yavapai County authorities say DeWayne Spires disturbed bees nesting under a cattle trough.
