Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
we are hoping to get seats a bit further back and close to the centre.
high up towards the back would be great
it is a big indoor stadium, and i have been there many times, i don't want side seats, i want the full frontal view.
the price range for the tickets is diamond $427, platinium $325, gold $223, silver $172, bronze $125.
( i'll have 2 diamond tickets please...for me and my friend )
wait and see.
my DiL is online at the ticket joint now.....

Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
okay, so the tickets are now bought, we are in Row Q .
Silver x 3
now, i cannot find a proper seating plan of the venue, one that shows the rows by letter & number, and so that i can see where we will be.
oh well, i am going shopping now anyway.
next, i have to find a really cool Roger T-Shirt to wear to the concert.
i am going to go for the Animals cover, the Final Cut would be better, but i don't think they make them
i guess it wouldn't be tactfull to wear a DSOTM shirt....

Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
the seats are on the right side, in a grandstand.
the section i wanted, middle front of first grandstand.....were the diamond tickets, at $422 each
and platinium was nearby
still, it is all very good, now to get ready for the show.

Congratulations, Tats. Have a memorable night.
Fortune's wheel has turned, maybe? About time, after the events of the past 18 months or so.

Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
it was really very good, worth waiting the MANY years for Roger to bring the show to Australia.
and there was so many Pink Floyd t-shirts, and the Wall t-shirts...across many years
mostly lots of Dark Side shirts
and only one Animals T-Shirt...mine.
but there were more of them there, i just didn't see them because of the all the DSOM shirts
very good show.

i have some photos, they are from the distance
and i have one of the tunes on vid
i am trying to upload it into a folder to share, but it takes a long time
and then when you do hear it...someone (????) is singing in it also, other than roger.
so that might be a bit embarassing for someone....
back later,
and thanks for the distraction of the regular camping trails .
it was a cool show, and if i could get transport, i would go again tomorrow night
Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
woo wasn't at this concert or anywhere with me
he saw the same show in november 2010 and now it was my turn.

just ignore the silly person singing along
if they had realised their voice was going to be heard on vid, they would have shut up
actually there were many people singing on this video
including the fact that Roger was dubbing his voice with that of the original 80.s version.
a moment in time that i will treasure forever

Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
ooooooooooh wuaaaaa is it just a waste of time?
It sounds pretty good
No wonder you liked it so much
If he ever comes here I'll consider going.
I was a big Pink Floyd fan... you can't imagine. Although not for a long time I was the obsessive kind. One day I suddenly stop liking them
But taste in music comes and goes...
Thanks for sharing, Tats

absolutely fantastic & much more than i expected ....
he played 3 full house show over 4 nights....that was pretty good also
and he hasn't aged much either...he looked very good actually, and a lot calmer, and more at peace with himself
did you see the little clip i recorded. all good except for the sing-along missy
fuck yea comes to mind
plus so much more

Henry wrote:Saw it, and yet, as the other youtube vids, it doesn't capture at all the show in all it's visual attractive splendour...I'll still watch 'em though.
that was because i was stuck in a seat on the right hand side of the stage almost at the front
the seat sucked.
it shows in the video how close i was to the stage....on the of balanced side.
i missed out on so much of the central show,
it was sad . it was annoying really.....
and considering i paid top dollar for the tickets in the first release....
that doesn't matter, i was there, so that was the main thing.
and the venue was old with lowish ceiling so the sound was fantastic....if you don't mind doing things from the side angle
Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
Henry wrote:Cheers...
Does anyone here remember when Vera loved Pink...
you would laugh if you saw how this turned out when i recorded it
the battery on the camera was going flat, and i could only capture bits and pieces
a written word here and there.
so the clip you posted is much better to watch....
Re: Roger Waters...the Wall Live
an absolutely brilliant show,
and i wish o could have gone the second time
family came first
