I have no idea how to react to this thread - I really don't like to be the centre of anyone's attetion and as a consequence never figured out how to deal with such circumstances.
I'm glad it derailed and do hope I don't put it back on the tracks for too long.
I'm sincerely sorry if my actions made anyone feel bad - or whatever exactly it is people feel in such situations.

Some writers seem to find it easy: a natural flow. I don't. Too obsessed with detail, that's my problem. I agonise about commas.

It's a full-time occupation, in my opinion. If you're not actually at the keyboard, you're thinking about it, scribbling notes etc. Been trying to hold down TWO full-time jobs recently, and it's been no fun at all.

Had a nibble from a potential publisher, though. No idea whether anything will ever come of it, but bought some envelopes this morning to despatch what I've written so far. You get a complimentary copy, of course, if things work out.

I seem to be firmly in the snail-mail generation.

Pleased with the way it's shaping up, though: 71 typed pages, and a little over half-way through, I think.

Now that you say "I might sound" you'd have to hear the voice with which I read your posts, it's very funny (and not it a negative way). Felix's voice in my mind is very funny too.
