He must be a god, to keep up the frantic weekend pace that he does. I tend to lazily combine re-painting the Firth of Forth road bridge, with Arctic Shackleton Simulacrum weekends, spent liberating replica Endeavours from clinging ice floes.

if you have the time and don't mind the effort, why not?
Re: My Weekend
I have been pondering Coin Club. I bet it was a sad day that the Euro became currency for so many countries, or does it make pesetas, francs etc even more appealing?

Re: My Weekend
Tjhis was c similiar in many ways to the previos weekends. On Saturday morning I helped out on the door for an hour at The Coin & Collectables Fair. It was reasonably busy.
Then I went on the cross country run . It was a fairly flat course and I ran around the same time as last year.
I was a winner however in a raffle , I won $25.00 worth of chocolates , which was well received at home.
In the evening we had dinner with some friends at a new Malaysian restaurant . Itrtwas ok , but there are better ones in our town.
Then we went to a play "The Some Of US" which I have already written about in another thread.
On Sunday after churchI stayed home and did things around the house.

You're 'finished with this thread as from now'? Well fuck you then Mr Watson. This happens to be my favourite thread and it has always been fun to hear what you (and others) have been up to over the weekend. Why end it all on such a great run?

Re: My Weekend
You could change the title to 'The Groundhog Weekend According to Doc Watson, and just post this every Monday morning:
Doc Watson wrote:On friday night I went to the football by train with Mrs Watson . We had a good time. My team lost by 2 p;oints but played well.
On the train trip there and back I read 420 pages of a book "Count To Ten " by Karen Rose.
It was a reading copy I had been given by a publisher.
On Saturday I did some gardening in the morning. During the afternoon I went in a 3 k cross country race . I was slower than I hoped.
Then I went with my daughter to a family serrvice at our local church.
Sunday morning I attended a combined service at the Anglican Church. It has no electrity and it was very dark.
In the afternoon I did more gardening despite light rain falling.
In the evening we went out to dinner to farewell some friends who are going to England for 3 months.

Re: My Weekend
While like most other people there are elements of each weekend that are the same , there were also elements that are differnt so your idea could not work , but thanks for your suggestion .precinct14 wrote:You could change the title to 'The Groundhog Weekend According to Doc Watson, and just post this every Monday morning:Doc Watson wrote:On friday night I went to the football by train with Mrs Watson . For example this weekend just gone I did not run , did not garden , did not go to church , instead with my family I drove to the airport with my family and boarded an aeroplane for Queensland!

You mean, you're a polygamist, as well as a coin-clubber?
I am not worthy.
