boiledgutsofbirds wrote.....Another iPhone recording but this is one is quite a bit more palatable then the Byron one. It's quite clear and up front (we were in front of the barrier), with a heavy low end. The downside is there are a few bits with distortion. Overall it's quite nice and a great performance. I'd recommend it.

And "Visions of Johanna". This song has grown a lot in me lately. I looked at it differently in the past.

There are people who read the future. And then there's me, who reads the past.
And I'm reading that you were also listening to "I can't escape from you" on Thu Aug 25, 2011 1:18 am (Spanish time)

Re: What Dylan tune are you listening to now?
I remember, on ER, someone said something about the line:
I should've kissed you in the rain
and I said that line was a line that had stuck in my head after only a few listens to the song
and then you said that it reminded us all of lost chances in love

Re: What Dylan tune are you listening to now?
I've been listening to Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks. Fantastic albums. I am actually rediscovering Bob Dylan music today.
Once I said (on ER) Modern Times was Dylan's best album since The Freewheelin' and a poster told me that I was lacking intensity or something (I don't remember exactly how he put it). Now I know what he meant
So I'll leave this song from Blood on the Tracks in this Dylan's tunes thread

Everyone has a different take on Dylan , the imortant thing is to respect what someone else thinks.Vera Cruz wrote:I've been listening to Blonde on Blonde and Blood on the Tracks. Fantastic albums. I am actually rediscovering Bob Dylan music today.

Weren't you the one who was having a nap and dreamt that Love and Theft was Bob's best album, Pinhedz?
and if you disagree with me in this you're obviously wrong, look:
Vera is always right
Vera says she is perfect
Doc says she may be not

"Senor (Tales Of Yankee Power)"
Senor, senor, can you tell me where we're headin ?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon ?
Seems like I been down this way before
Is there any truth in that, senor ?
Senor, senor, do you know where she is hidin' ?
How long are we gonna be riding ?
How long must I keep my eyes glued to the door ?
Will there be any comfort there senor ?
There's a wicked wind still blowing on that upper deck
There's an iron cross still hanging down from around her neck
There's a marcing band still playing in that vacant lot
Where's she held me in her arms one time and said, Forget me not.
Senor, senor, I can see that painted wagon
Smell the tail of the dragon
Can't stand the suspense anymore
Can you tell me who to contact here, senor ?
Well, the last thing I remember before I stripped and kneeled
Was that trainload of fools bogged down in a magnetic field
A gypsy with a broken flag and a flashing ring
He said, Son, this ain't a dream no more it's the real thing.
Senor, senor, you know their hearts is as hard as leather
Well, give me a minute, let me get it together
I just gotta pick myself up off the floor
I'm ready when you are, senor.
Senor, senor, let's overturn these cables
Disconnect these tables
This place don't make sense to me no more
Can you tell me what we're waiting for, senor ?

I'm not! Bob Dylan blows! He has maybe three or four good songs, that's it.

Re: What Dylan tune are you listening to now?
Perhaps I was too hard on Bob. I'm just frustrated that I've been banned from ER for so long. Why don't they show some mercy and grace to us misfits? Jesus loved the misfits of society. He mingled with them. ER, you should take note of the kindness that Jesus showed to the misfits. Don't you want to be like Jesus?
One of the great songs by Dylan covered by the fabulous Ogata Kazuhiko is 'Angelina'.

Another great one by Sir Bob. Remember hearing it for the first time? It felt like falling in love with someone.
