On friday night I went to the coin club meeting .
Some interesting topis were covered.
On saturdayat cross country it was tough hilly course , but i managed to complete it.
After wards 4 of us who have been friends for a while had a few drinks and good discussion .
Then I went home and took my younger daughter out for dinner.
On Sunday morning I went to church in the aternoon we had a meeting and I introduced our minister to several people he had not met.

He must be a god, to keep up the frantic weekend pace that he does. I tend to lazily combine re-painting the Firth of Forth road bridge, with Arctic Shackleton Simulacrum weekends, spent liberating replica Endeavours from clinging ice floes.

I have been pondering Coin Club. I bet it was a sad day that the Euro became currency for so many countries, or does it make pesetas, francs etc even more appealing?

It makes them more collectable , rarer and possibly more valuable.

I've heard it works a treat on trap door handles.

Tjhis was c similiar in many ways to the previos weekends. On Saturday morning I helped out on the door for an hour at The Coin & Collectables Fair. It was reasonably busy.
Then I went on the cross country run . It was a fairly flat course and I ran around the same time as last year.
I was a winner however in a raffle , I won $25.00 worth of chocolates , which was well received at home.
In the evening we had dinner with some friends at a new Malaysian restaurant . Itrtwas ok , but there are better ones in our town.
Then we went to a play "The Some Of US" which I have already written about in another thread.
On Sunday after churchI stayed home and did things around the house.

I was feeling patriotic, so I did the traditional outdoor beer and bar-B-Q thing with real fire (charcoal, not gas).

The shootin' started 2 days ago; it's the Virginians, and probably the Murphy brothers who used to just ring doorbells, but now they're bigger.

Fun fact: US diplomats in Canada get a 4-day weekend because Canadian Independence Day is July 1st and US Independence Day is July 4th.

Coincidence or conspiracy? Suspect

You're 'finished with this thread as from now'? Well fuck you then Mr Watson. This happens to be my favourite thread and it has always been fun to hear what you (and others) have been up to over the weekend. Why end it all on such a great run?
