...it wouldn't be 'White Teeth' by Zadie Smith, would it? (don't think so though...it's a singular tooth) Neutral

...two words...the images have literal meanings. The first is fairly obvious, the second a little abstract.

Rolling Eyes ...it's The House of the Spirits, by Isabel Allende (feel free to correct me if I've misspelled the name. The images were for that book. The word association was for her first novel, Eva Luna.

...these images are hints to a (I thought) well-known book.

...these were hints about the author's first book (if you know that you can google it to find the titles of other books she's written):
!st word in title = first woman follawed by first letter (EVE is first woman followed by A is first letter is roughly Eva)
2nd word in title = a type of eclipse (= lunar)..........Eva Luna

...the genre of the book is magic realism.

Magicalist Realism is a form mastered by THE LATINO/LATINA, and probably it is a rich tapestry of richness and multifacetedness. In novelist Pinochet's LA CASA DE LOS SPIRITUTITOS MUY CUADRADO AQUI ( 'A House, With Pinche Spirits, You Goat'), the narrator's family dog expires, and then transforms into a Great War Bi-Plane and flies to The Sudetenland, eventually becoming the guiding force behind the invention and propagation of frozen yogurt, or "FroYo." History, politics, desire, memory, and plain ol' Magic Muy Loco all ferment into a frothy Tascalate that can potentially tittelate the eastside Jumex Vendors. Think of the whole deal as Andean Ceviche for the Soul. Con Corazon.

...this isn't a well-known book. It's about a journey through China.

This is a clue to the title:
The ++++ - ++++ (adjective...2 words each with 4 letters, separated by a hyphen) ++++ (noun...4 letters)
