Re: Songs about footwear
The definitive version, imo. This is what cemented my love for Sabbath.
And of course, Boots of Spanish Leather.

Let's hear a better one...cause you ain't gonna find a better guitarist than Tony Iommi playing Blue Suede Shoes or a better singer than Ozzy singing it... (yes, Ozzy is way better than Elvis, stfu old people)

Tom Waits laments the deplorable state of his Stacy Adams shoes (usually a very reliable brand of footwear) in this recording of Tom Traubert's Blues for The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977:

It swings, it's got rhythm, and the guitar rings out. That Iommi chap might play faster, but his noodling is completely pointless. And as for the old people dig, the Sabbath blokes are really old farts now, aren't they? I'm much younger than them, and that heavy rock shit is so last century.
"Old" is a mindset.
And it's not about playing fast, Tony Iommi isn't even a "fast" guitar player. It's about his completely original tone and feel. Tony Iommi is one of the most important rock guitarists ever and single-handedly invented an entirely new genre that is now one of the most prominent in the world.

Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes. Would that qualify?
The Drifters' soaring Johnny Moore tenor hardly complaining of sand in his footwear:
And old Hank's shoes is so shabby, and full of holes and nails, well, brother if he stepped on a worn out dime, he bets ya a nickel he could tell ya if it's heads or tails!

The Big Yin has a word or two on the subject:
and professional Geordie nut Jimmy Nail had a big hit with his ode to footwear:
But here's my fave shoe-related opus - monologuist (and Broadway and Hollywood star) Stanley Holloway's 'Brahn Boots':

Meet me in the bottom - bring me my running shoes
When I come out the window I won't have time to lose.
Put your shoes on, Lucy, don't you know you're in the city!

Re: Songs about footwear
More? Did I hear you say you want ... MORE?
OK, but really, I don't want to spoil you!.
Elvis in lullaby mode (from GI Blues):
The lovely Dodie Stevens with her 1959 hit (the shoelaces tie up some tan shoes ...
And finally, The King of The Stroll with his sadly prophetically titled hit (he shuffled off this mortal coil not long after this record's release):
(Even more spooky - this was the B-side of 'What Am I Living For'**, which turned out to be the biggest R&B hit of 1958.
** Itself such a bloody great record, I make no excuse for posting it ... right ... here:
Nice old London-American 78 there.
