The account given in Victor Bockris' Keith Richards biography of the making of "Hail Hail Rock n Roll" suggests that Chuck was an absolute swine to work with.
On the night, after weeks of rehearsal, he changed all the arrangements. This in front of a live audience and a film crew. You can see Keith desperately signalling to the band "Wing it!"
If anyone pulled that stunt on me, I'd strangle them.
