How can someone not like this?

Okay, I can see why people wouldn't like this one so much. Funny though.

The Stooges' 1 hour set at Glastonbury 2007 broadcast complete by the Beeb - was pure rock 'n' roll theatre - to a pure, driving, get-on-yer-feet rock 'n' roll soundtrack from the hottest rhythm section to ever appear in Somerset - ever. They were rather good, I thought.

Saw an 18-minute interview with him about his latest album, which started out as a soundtrack to a Michel Houellebecq documentary. Seems like a nice guy, no big star attitude or anything. Guy with a sense of humor who doesn't take himself too serious.

Apart from his hits, I don't know much of his music though.

The Stooges are surely one of the greatest bands to ever exist.

JP Morgan Chase gettin it gude to the wude and

Iggles G. Popp punches Morgan Freeman on The Rachel Ray Show Veteran's Day Special:

Iggles Popp firmly thot that... ... college students could not, would not, should not understand his LP Mr. Penetrator Goes to Isaac Town (Bang Bang Wheel Bitch in E Minor) becaus Iggles had added celeste accompaniment and overloaded the audio signals while recording. Iggles offered that maybe some of the college professors or recipients of advanced degrees could understand this new music.

Shame about the car insurance adverts. Not because he 'sold out', but because they're fucking annoying.

Anyone here ever listened to Iggy's 2009 album 'Préliminaires'?

Iggy Pop Preliminaires

Iggy's done some pretty God awful albums over recent years, but this album (his latest) is actually pretty interesting. For starters, it's not some terrible thrash rock shit. In fact, there is hardly any guitars to be heard in this album at all. The album is based on on French author Michel Houellebecq's novel "La Possibilité d'une île" ('The Possibility of an Island') and it's quite difficult to describe. It's kind of Jazzy. Err, think Tom Waits and Serge Gainsbourg... but Iggy Pop. Shocked

Well worth checking out.
