Welcome B.Fenner - tailor to the stars
Willkommen, sir. Put those giant scissors down, pull up a Laura Ashley Komatsu excavator, and enjoy some philosophical, malodorous, weed-driven, sino-bin Laden reverie, with The Gang!

Just take no notice , by paying attention you are doing what he wants and highlighting him.Strawberry Jam wrote:Not tailor to the stars, unfortunately, but very probably bored ER moderator again. The IP address belongs to a proxy server, and the "B" in "B.Fenner" is short for "Buggs", which is what it says in the email address. Buggs Fenner is a character played by Bogart, and our friend Hal Jones is quite the Bogart fan (as if Bogey hadn't deserved better).
Hal, you're beginning to seriously piss me off.

Doesn't say much for ER, if one of their moderators continually tries to slip in here, under the wire. I'm sure 3LM would do the sensible thing, and ban him, if he was still moderationally classified.

Re: Welcome B.Fenner - tailor to the stars
there seems to be constant opposition to ER on here . Yet some members from here post regularly on Er .
From what I see both are excellent forums and engender a lot of good posts .
I see no reason for constant sniping at each other.
It would be good if both sides could try and forgive and move on.

Re: Welcome B.Fenner - tailor to the stars
You see constant opposition to ER and constant sniping at each other. I don't.
I do, though, see justified annoyance on the part of the site owner at the actions of some ER admins (who wouldn't have him on *their* site at any price) coming here simply to make mischief.
But it's only the interwebs, so wtf, eh.
EDIT: Nashie was a-postin' while I was a-draftin'

why bother ?Strawberry Jam wrote:Thank you, Nash and Felix. I don't care much for ER anymore, although I read it because I like a handful of posters and to see what oldgitostrich is up to in the deep shadows of the Information section...(and because I'm still a Dylan fan after all).
Yet if you search through my posts you will find that I don't mention ER at all - unless provoked by the likes of Halitosis Joe.

Bollocks. But I quite like SJ's policy. This place is a bit like Soho's Colony Club of yore, where only the bohemians and bone fide wack jobs, or both at the same time, are allowed in. Hal Jones (if he's B.Fenner- tailor to the stars) and 3LM are just rubber-necking tourists without good intentions. It's not opposition to ER, it's opposition to them. They're the ones that have handed out the bannings over there. Here, have some back, tossers. What do they fucking expect? Anyway, that place is Tedium City.

I don't think passions run very high with our friend oldyoungmanfukup.......
whereas you blurt out the obvious and timely response 'bollocks'
he's more likely to say 'pass the sugar, ladies'

I've just added to that post, as you'll see. oldyoungmandocholliday is the only person to hold regimental mascot status in both camps. Mind you, goats have been known to perform those duties in other sections of the armed forces, so it's nothing to write home about.

i don't think that is happening.
SJ is making sure that the people who are known troublemakers, stay out.
the same happens at any good hotel, so why not here?
emu......maybe you should stop trying to make everyone be friends.....not everyone likes each other.....
not everything has to be Right / or fixed all of the time

True , but I just think it is so stupid to fight people on internet forums whomyou do not know and will never meet .tatiana wrote:Doc Watson wrote:there seems to be constant opposition to ER on here . .

My view is that both forums provide a great chance for sharing of views and learning from others

Or to be even more polite "Would you ladies like the sugar ?"

Re: Welcome B.Fenner - tailor to the stars
Far more than me I am normally the same in every forum .tatiana wrote:Doc Watson wrote:I am however not the only one who posts in both forums. My view is that both forums provide a great chance for sharing of views and learning from othersprecinct14 wrote:Catherine wrote:I don't think passions run very high with our friend oldyoungmanfukup.......

You have another name in Er as do a few others . our esteemed leader Sj has had at least 3 here and confessed to vairious others at the other place . You changed your name here for a while a few weeks back. And so so etc la la la....

Re: Welcome B.Fenner - tailor to the stars
i wasn't talking about when you change your name yourself....i was talking about all of the interesting variations of your name, that other people call you.
oldyoungmandocholliday
oldyoungmanfukup
etc
i was mucking around.
and just for the record,
when i changed my name here the other day, that was a bit of an emergency regarding privacy, not simply for entertainment.
i have only the 2 names, i would use tatiana at ER also but i chose a Dylan based name instead.
i originally registered there in August after i saw Dylan in concert, but i used my real name, so i cancelled that and started again later with isis

Re: Welcome B.Fenner - tailor to the stars
I am aware of all the above and even though I do not care what people may or may not call me. At least it means they are thinking of me and that is always nice.tatiana wrote:i wasn't talking about when you change your name yourself....i was talking about all of the interesting variations of your name, that other people call you.

The time to panic is when no one takes any notice of you.
Have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no one can condone that behaviour from any one.Strawberry Jam wrote:Hal was indeed B.Fenner. After I asked Karl Erik to ask his moderator to stay away from ATU, B.Fenner sent me an email message in which he promises to stay away from ATU in the future
He was also thoughtful enough to sign my email address up for what our friend Hi-Hat would call a fuckload of newsletters. Can never have enough news, so thanks Hal!
