Dr Gunther von Hagen's Body Worlds exhibitions
Either macabre or educational, depending on your reaction to these displays of the undead from the old ATU site:

Precautionary replication of this material follows below- before the old ATU cache link goes the way of all flesh:
**********************************************************************************
The German anatomist has perfected the technique of "plastination" which allows him to perform "autopsies" before paying audiences on suitably preserved dead people (all of whom, incidentally, gave- necessarily- pre-mortem consent to their bodies being used in this way). These dead people are also exhibited in various poses (see below) unconnected with a more formal autopsy procedure.
Is it Art? Is it an Anatomy Class? What is it, exactly?

I took many fotos of this exhibit with my cellular fone camera. Also, there are some who say that Gunther is sinister, that Gunther has used human bodies without permission, that Gunther is mad.

When he staged his Body Worlds exhibition in Brick Lane, East London a few years back there were legal issues with the Coroner but these were eventually resolved.
