Cool photo. Why not use Dean's famous last words as your tag line: "That guy's gotta stop... He'll see us."
You know, Sal, I'm not sure if James Dean even spoke those words. They were printed in a magazine interview with Rolf Weutherich (Dean's passenger) when he was recovering in hospital. Yet he also claimed that he couldn't remember the crash itself. Dean is also alleged to have murmered under his breath, just before: 'Isn't life wonderful?'. Poetic irony, but fact?
I made this about 17 years ago. The interviews were mainly conducted via transatlantic phone calls. It was put up on youtube without my final consent, unfortunately. The full version is around 15', but the editor hacked out all the movie clips and stills, to get round any legal issues, plus some interesting build-up to the crash sequence, and an extended, montaged music piece closer. Pity, as the full version flows far better. He also came up with the teasingly sensationalist header 'The Truth?'. It does have the only interview with the only surviving witness to the crash. You even get to hear me ask a question, towards the end!
Actually, you could remove my piggy line, and replace it with 'More than a couple of times I've walked that old highway. Gives you a real feel for the 50's', (it's a quote that was removed from the youtube piece) to go under the avatar- if it'll fit. Thanks!

Re: Personal photography
precinct, I remember a picture you posted in the same thread of the old ATU. It was a house (a bar or maybe a shop) illuminated and everything was covered with snow. Someone said it had a David Lynch feel and it was true. If I'm not wrong, you also posted another picture of a street and it was snowing. Both were awesome. And I like this last one too.

Thanks. No, I'm not a documentary film-maker. This was just a 'hobby project'.

Thankyou. The snowing path picture would have been mine, but the other one was pinhedz', because I remember making the David Lynch allusion about it. Not sure if it's a pinhedz photo. He can confirm, when he shows up next. By the way, I'm terrible with changing usernames. Er, who were you back then?

Re: Personal photography
I am going to paint this. I have already drawn it. If the result is not too bad I'll post it here. Painting the bridge is gonna be hard. I know it isn't a "wonderful" photo but I love the red/orange/yellow light at night there.guacamayo wrote:

No I didn't take this photograph, it was Bill Brandt.
But I masterly painted it:
![Personal photography Phpzkipaaam](https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img829/3476/phpzkipaaam.jpg)
It is really darker if you see it
I didn't try to do it exactly like the picture, I couldn't have done it but I didn't try... (if only Bob Dylan had lent me some tracing paper...)
That's my first and latest painting.
But I'm waiting for a friend to send me a photograph I took the other day... and I'm going to try to paint it in watercolor

...how talented you are asdf!
...I remember you once used the image for your avatar. I thought it was a painting and am surprised to learn that it's a photo.
...I'd never heard of Bill Brandt so I googled him after your post.
...I really like this one. It's called "London 1934"

If my memory serves me well, that photo is from a series of photos called Nightwalk that starts with a girl standing up from bed. This is another one from it:

Looks like Eva is scared of the same man in London 1934...

The pic might not be very good but the place was beautiful with fog. Yesterday. A friend and I. That thing in the background is the cathedral.
