was it you that was seeing Roger performing in the Wall....last month?
anyway, i am seeing him here, on the 1st of Feb next year.
Re: Everything Floyd
No, he came around here last year and I didn't go, it was way too expensive. Seems like a hell of a show though.
I'm not really into the Wall that much. I don't like to listen to it cause it's a real fucking downer. I'd rather listen to Green is the Colour.

the Wall is okay, i have been listening to it for years.
my eldest son was born in that era.
the live versions are best.
you would not appreciate the Final Cut either, a lot of people find it depressing also. i don't.
i think it is full of life and inspiration.
Green is the Colour is a sweet song
i have been a Floyd fan since i was a young teenager, many years ago.
i think the first stuff i heard was the Bike and the other stuff from Piper, although we had Relics..
i have my ticket ( the cost will be worth it), and i am going.
it is a bit of a pilgrimage really, i will never get to see the whole group, so i will see them in sections.
Gilmour was here in 1988 with the Delicate Sound of Thunder touring
besides, my friend saw the Wall show and said it was cool......

^^^^^
well that video was different, nice, very serene
it made me think that around every corner, there might be a stadium or concert centre, that they were riding to.
but no, they were just going to a bridge....
good sound.

I wish every other day felt the way that night felt. It's a song that has a feeling, a sound, to slowly die to. My cousin and I stayed up all night long Floyding out. We never went to bed. Our friend was so mind blown by the show that he didn't stick around with us, but instead went home overwhelmed. My cousin wondered aloud why God didn't kill me right there at the end of the concert. Would have been a great personal ending to an amazing night. Aloha...
shame the link it missing now, and i don't know how to transfer the one i have hidden here at home....

that is cool
sad you missed the ticket, but great that the music is still playing.
i wanted to go to the second show (he played 3 shows here) but i couldn't get the transport
i met someone who lived in a squat (or something) with a friend of Syd Barrett, back when they were all younger, in england in the 1970's, only for about 3 weeks, but still what a story to tell the grand-kids
the internet is wonderful these days ...
never stop the music.
ever.

..Or maybe it sucks.
"The final cut was just roger waters taking complete control of the band and whining. Dear god he whines about the falklands war where fellow british people were captured by argentinians and blames it on margaret thatcher like she caused it. You should never mix contemporary politics with music and expect it to last and most of these songs are as out of date now as a computer from 1983. The pink floyd albumbs before this are timeless. This one is not." Poster from Youtube.
roger is cool .....
you know that, i know that.
he is lots of things that people don't like ... starting with honest.
