Sorry I missed the day eddie.
It happened that I put of wishing you well because I was waiting till I found something witty and fitting to post...then I got side-tracked and work and a heat wave and bout of forgetfulness intervened. And I forgot!
So I'll just post my best wishes to you now...sadly nothing witty or fitting seems imminent, and as they say, small deeds done mean more than great deeds planned.
So..many, many happy returns of the day     

Thanks for the good wishes, Moony. I'm feeling distinctly short of inspiration too, so much so that I'm looking for gainful employment again.

I had to send the proof copy of the paperback edition of "Well of Shadows" back to the publisher with a list of about 30 corrections, great and small. That means further delay, of course, but I'm getting used to that. As a semi-aqueous dame, you'll appreciate the importance of not spoiling the ship for a ha-porth of tar.

This cuts into potential Xmas season sales, of course, but I wouldn't want to lumber potential punters with a sub-standard product. Even with the present flaws, it's a pretty cool-looking book, though I say it meself:

Hi Constance. I'm not going for long. Just a delivery trip to Port Moresby. I'll be back before you know it.   
Still having monthly injections in my eyes, hoping that before long the distance between shots will increase to 3 months. I'm just happy I can see.
