What's the best bit torrent site?

I've usually used 'Vuze', but it doesn't seem to work for me anymore, which is very annoying.

Anyone know of any good ones please?

Ha, you're asking the wrong person really! And I think I actually meant to say bit torrent application, rather than site.

Basically it is a file sharing network that I use to search and download stuff. It's best to google bittorrent and get an actual explanation, because I don't really know.

I download everything using megaupload, rapidshare, etc.

If you're going to download something that is very big (with a lot of parts... like a movie) you can use a program called jdownloader that will download all the parts from megaupload, etc by itself.

Demonoid and The Pirate Bay.

I used to have jdownloader, it was very useful. But I'll take torrents any day of the week.

Basically, my issue is actually with Internet Explorer 9. For starters, when I click on it it pops up for a milisecond then dissapears. That's all I geat. I wouldn't usually care, as I don't use IE, but apparently Vuze needs it as it "embedds IE components to show web content and some of its own pages". I'm guessing IE9 not working is the reason for Vuze not working for me. But the plot thickens, as I can't uninstall IE. I know how to uninstall IE properly, but whenever I try to either do that or turn it off it says: "An error has occured. Not all of the features were successfully uninstalled/changed".

So basically, if anyone knows how the hell I get can get rid of or reinstall IE, then please do let me know! I currently can't download a different version as it tells me I have the most update version!

Do you guys ever get virus' downloading from these sites? I know I got a couple of things from piratebay in the past I think. I swear I'm the unluckiest guy ever with these computer virus'! (I even pay for my bloody protection!)

No. Be smart about it. Don't click any of the ads on the site. Make sure to check the files in the torrent before downloading, and check who the uploader is. Trustworthy uploaders have little green or purple skulls next to their names. If you're downloading music or movies, you're fine. Just make sure you ONLY download the music and movie files. There's no way you can get a virus from that. Don't download ANYTHING that is an executable file. Unless of course that's what you want, and you're downloading some type of program...in which case you're taking a gamble each time.

Also, download Google Chrome or Firefox and ditch Internet Explorer.

I don't even have an antivirus program on my computer and I use TPB all the time. Demonoid is much safer though.

Which one doesn't give you unexpected porn movies? Just so I know not to use it.

Ah crap, having all sorts of issues already! For PirateBay it said that I had to use it I had to download 'Miro', which I have done. For the next stage I had to click on something that subscribed piratebay to Miro. Which I did, but it didn't work. It doesnt appear on Miro like it says it should on the screen shot as it says here: http://thepiratebay.org/help

I don't know what the fuck Miro is or why you downloaded it. If you have Vuze you should just be able to use that. I use Bit Torrent.

Okay, I have just downloaded BitTorrent and now can download from PirateBay. The film I wanted to download is now downloading and is nearly 2% in already. So fingers crossed I've done it right and I'll be able to watch it! (not that I actually want to bloody watch it anyway, it's for my gf).

It seems John Hillcoat's 'Lawless' isn't available for illegal download yet. It's doing my head in, I want to see it right this second and am not willing to wait any longer.

Am also looking forward to seeing 'Killing the Softly' and 'Moonrise Kingdom'. But it is 'Lawless' that I must see immediately. Reviews are meh.
