I think idealising others dehumanises them, and loads them with a heavy burden, because the idealised one always knows they will fall in the other's eyes because the standard they set is impossibly high.
Maybe it's better to admire someone else, if they merit it, rather than idealise them.
Idealising someone is giving them imaginary qualities, whereas when you admire someone, they have usually done something to deserve it.

but who deserves it? isn't it just a caprice in the end?
