I, for one, prefer it to most of the tracks on Tempest.

Do the credits say "words and music by Bob Dylan?" Razz

At one time I'd have said this was an example of Bob's unmatched chutzpah, but Bob's past that now, because nothing is a risk anymore--there's nothing at stake anymore.

chutzpah is the quality enshrined in a man who, having killed his mother and father, throws himself on the mercy of the court because he is an orphan.

"chutzpah" word has been used 231 times in American legal opinions, 220 of those after 1980.

Frank Sinatra probably murdered several people.  One time he pushed a dude out of a flying plane, and there were several witness, but they didn't really want to talk about it so much ... cuz Sinatra was chummy with Giancana the Hutt etc.

pineapplehedz is Beyond Rangoon w/o net access, so he just candy-grammed this reply:

"in point of fact, Kaye and Mossman swiped the tune from Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp blep blorp"

That doesn't sound like something the pinhed would say. scratch

The pinhed would have said "... speaking of Lennie Kaye, back in 2002 his son got in touch about a Lennie Kaye recording that was on the flip side of a Paul Nero record, because he wanted a copy."

Agree
The audaciousness of Bob is a fantastic gift to the world.
He does credit Moross & Leigh as writers of 'stay with me", on his official site.
I was fortunate to see him twice last week in NYC,
performances brilliant, many wept.
Viva la Bob

I saw a piece in Isis Magazine about how Bob has been experiencing some telecommunications difficulties in the Malibu Hills, perhaps caused by interference from naturally occurring magnetic fields in Topanga Canyon.

But it's not enough to know the meaning of things, sometimes we have to know what things don't mean as well. Anyways, Bob stopped trying to figure everything out a LONG time ago.

Correction : Updated Siri informs me it was Jack Fate who stopped trying to figure things out, not Bob Dylan ... and to conflate the two is an error rated on the Helstrom Scale

I disagree
Shadows in the heart stinks.
Tempest is a masterpiece

I've been seeing mostly positive reviews of Shadows in the Heart.
Does this means Bob is getting close to beatification?

So it seems,
Not too many comprehend the possibility that the emperor maybe naked again.
There is also talk of "shadows II"
supposedly Bob recorded more of these wistfully enchanting songs.  What a Face

If "Tha Lucky Old Sun" is a song most associated with Sinatra, well then Frankie Laine LoVecchio did not get the memo

The Bob/LoVecchio connection seems to go back 50 years. Shocked
