I'm thinking you're Paddy Lyn (jokin') from ER. If so, I salute your awesome passion for GNR. If not, I still salute you. Don't find many folks on either boards who like GNR.
I'm Paladin/Relayer/MookieBlaylock. Who are you on ER?

GNR - the Great Northern Railway (the original; accept no substitute ) operated in the UK from 1846 until 1923, when it was absorbed into the newly formed London & North Eastern Railway (LNER).
The US GNR seems to date from 1857, as the Minnesota & Pacific Railroad, or 1856, as the Minneapolis & St. Cloud Railroad. As the Great Northern Railway (GN) it dates from around 1881. Sez wikipedia.
The Smithfield refigerator works presumably take their name from London's Smithfield meat market.
