Like most big phallic symbols, everyone wants to know which way the Washington Monument is leaning now.

Re: There was just an earthquake
We felt it up here in suburban NY. The chair I was sitting in was shaking. My daughter came downstairs because the room was shaking. She was a little scared. I heard that the earthquake was felt as far away as Toronto.

A quick read fom PA !
HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's highways, bridges and other vital structures escaped serious damage from the East Coast earthquake, officials said Wednesday. Spokesman for all five of the state's nuclear power plants said checks revealed no problems from Tuesday's quake and that all the stations were operating normally.
Visual checks of state highway bridges showed no damage so far, although the inspections are expected to continue through Thursday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said. "We're not anticipating any problems at this point," PennDOT spokesman Steve Chizmar said Wednesday. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency reported no major infrastructure damage from the 5.8 magnitude earthquake, which was centered in Virginia but shook buildings across Pennsylvania.
