I hate getting my haircut! It either means I'm going to have 15 mins of forced conversation or 20 mins of uncomfortable silence.

The gentle hummmm of the electric clippers holds no delights for you? The crisp apron tied neatly about the neck at the start? The swish of the horsehair brush at the close? Leopold Bloom, l'homme moyen sensuel, would find your distaste for the experience incomprehensible.

I love having my hair cut - the longer I can drag it out for the better........
in Bangkok they would massage your head too
once they made a mistake when I was getting highlights and it turned nearly white.......
hair is fun......like Lady Gaga said in that article that Eddie posted in Music......
your hair is your crowning glory!!!

I'm obliged these days to get a periodic "No 3" crop. If it gets any longer it looks as though I'm attempting a "Bobby Charlton" comb-over to disguise my classic male-pattern baldness.
The only solution is to get it cut very, very short and just brazen it out.

Re: Life's simple pleasures
there was an English soccer player recently who got a thatch job done on his head - I think they call it a hair transplant......
a number of guys at work have shaved their heads rather than sport the not very virile bald spot on the crown.......

Re: Life's simple pleasures
I have been getting a zero or #1 hair cut for some years now.
It is very low maintenance.

I normally wear a hat when I run , so I have not experienced that.pinhedz wrote:If you do that around here and then go out on the running path, a lot of young guys with military hair cuts will think you are a Colonel and salute you.eddie wrote:The only solution is to get it cut very, very short and just brazen it out.

I haven't had a professional cut for about 6 years. So expensive when my sister will just do it for me for free! I tell you, she's wasting her time and talents at Cambridge...

I would rather cut off my dick with a butter knife than get a haircut.
edit: and what the hell are all these numbers? "No 3," "#1" etc

The numbers refer to the settings on the business end of one of these:
#1 cuts one's hair about as short as it can be cut .
#2 leaves a mm more hair length.
#3 ...well, you get the general idea.
