I have a theory that Dr Feelgood's former guitarist Wilco Johnson is the Antonin Artaud de nos jours:

So far, second page (although I'm reading a pdf document only containing 22 of 149 pages of The Theatre and Its double)
and he's already mentioned the infection! Shocked

...a monster who has developed to an absurd degree
that faculty of ours for deriving thoughts from actions instead of
making actions coincide with thoughts.
If our lives lack fire and fervour, that is to say continual magic, this is
because we choose to observe our actions, losing ourselves in meditation
on their imagined form, instead of being motivated by them.
This faculty is exclusively human. I would even venture to say it
was the infection of humanity which marred ideas that ought to have
remained sacred...

(why did you employ that word, monster of woo Question )

The emoticon Neutral  means "I don't like Dick Cavett" ?

That is news to me.

Then I guess it must mean you are a Dick Cavett fan, or something else, who knows.

I thought he was good at the time--at least compared to Jack Paar.
