Okay, I can see why people wouldn't like this one so much. Funny though.

The Stooges' 1 hour set at Glastonbury 2007 broadcast complete by the Beeb - was pure rock 'n' roll theatre - to a pure, driving, get-on-yer-feet rock 'n' roll soundtrack from the hottest rhythm section to ever appear in Somerset - ever. They were rather good, I thought.

Saw an 18-minute interview with him about his latest album, which started out as a soundtrack to a Michel Houellebecq documentary. Seems like a nice guy, no big star attitude or anything. Guy with a sense of humor who doesn't take himself too serious.

Apart from his hits, I don't know much of his music though.

The Stooges are surely one of the greatest bands to ever exist.

JP Morgan Chase gettin it gude to the wude and

Iggles G. Popp punches Morgan Freeman on The Rachel Ray Show Veteran's Day Special:

Iggles Popp firmly thot that... ... college students could not, would not, should not understand his LP Mr. Penetrator Goes to Isaac Town (Bang Bang Wheel Bitch in E Minor) becaus Iggles had added celeste accompaniment and overloaded the audio signals while recording. Iggles offered that maybe some of the college professors or recipients of advanced degrees could understand this new music.

Shame about the car insurance adverts. Not because he 'sold out', but because they're fucking annoying.

Anyone here ever listened to Iggy's 2009 album 'Préliminaires'?

Iggy's done some pretty God awful albums over recent years, but this album (his latest) is actually pretty interesting. For starters, it's not some terrible thrash rock shit. In fact, there is hardly any guitars to be heard in this album at all. The album is based on on French author Michel Houellebecq's novel "La Possibilité d'une île" ('The Possibility of an Island') and it's quite difficult to describe. It's kind of Jazzy. Err, think Tom Waits and Serge Gainsbourg... but Iggy Pop. Shocked

Well worth checking out.

Nearly every day LeVar Burton is approached by parents, teachers and adults who grew up watching PBS, telling him how much the programs they watched benefited them and their students. Studies show that PBS has been responsible for improvements in early, elementary, middle and even high school education. PBS represents 0.00012% of our nation's budget. And while this resource benefits kids across all economic circumstances, it has even greater impact on the disadvantaged. Yet it has been made a political issue.

the watershed work of Grand Gonzo Reportage, "Of President Joe and His Six Magik Trances", claims that after renouncing regular cocaine on Saints Crispin's & Crispinian's Day, Dave Jones was shook cold by an occasional dream in which a floating, smirking Kenneth Anger presented Jones with the severed head of The Scoundrel-Sorcerer Crowley who spoke with the voice of Lillian Gish (or possibly Dorothy Gish- some details are fuzzy), commanding Jones to make his default crooning mode become a karaoke imitation of post-1960s Scott Walker...

I think Iggy Pop has a new album with a guy from the Eagels of Deth Metal, it was the guy Josh who was supposed to play at the Paris France Bataclan club when the band was attacked by deadly goons, but Josh had a last moment change of plan, and he wasn't there at the club during the attacking
