We need a new ATU logo.

The arrow-in-the-stars design has disappeared.

Samuel Arbesman of Harvard University came up with this handy Tube map of the Milky Way (see "Alternative London Tube maps" thread in the Paintings & Photography section).

I wonder if he'd let us use/adapt it for our new logo?

Even if we can't contact Mr Arbesman in person, presumably it would be OK to use his design if we gave him a copyright credit? The original intention of the work was clearly jocular, as ours would be.

Best not credit Harvard University, though. I'm not sure what Mr A would think about his employers being dragged into this.

this would have to be the most awesome picture i have ever seen, all across anywhere....


i have slow eyesight,
so when i sit here and stare at this picture, i see the buildings slowly coming into my vision.
it is almost as if the whole picture is alive
hard to describe but fun to watch
