Copying music and photos

Post  Constance on Tue May 24, 2011 3:26 am

I have a lot of music and photos on my iMac computer.

My computer is pretty old.

Can I copy all that music and the photos to CDs?

I don't want to lose it all when the computer breaks down.

You can do that, but burned CDs aren't good for permanent storage of music (they can stop working after a few years). It's better to load it onto a separate hard drive that can hold a few hundred GB, and these hard drives keep getting cheaper.

A hard drive to hold 200 GigaBytes used to cost about $125.00.

Now a Terabyte hard drive cost about 50 cents, and fits in your pocket. Shocked
