I had to look it up on Google. It's Icelandic for what this other little island without a future calls a "pub crawl".

I don't know whether this phenomenon is confined to London, but the latest yoot trend here seems to be the fancy dress pub crawl.
The other day at work, I saw a group of about thirty young revellers dressed as various elements of the Monopoly board game: top hat, iron, racing car, convict (bearing "Get Out of Jail Free" card) etc. It was an impressive spectacle.
What does it mean? Something to do with the global recession, youth unemployment and the crisis of Capitalism, obviously.
