Heat Advisory here from 1:00 this afternoon until 7:00 Wed night.

Hot and humid, typical summer in the midwest.

It's at times like these, in the wake of Doc Watson's incendiary, inflammatory, quasi-pornographic 'How I spent my weekend' revelations, that we just need to calm down, and pause for breath. God have mercy on us all.

It's aboriginal slang for wife-swapping sessions- posturing as seeking change for the tumble dryers- down at the Owoomaroomabrouhaha Main St laundromat.

How much is too much?
and how do you know when to stop?

or at the very least....go back to a manageable level.

and why is it always easier to get into something, than it is to get out of it?

how much?

No one ever really knows until they have gone to far.

When you don't like what you see in the bathroom mirror.

(For the very first time in my life- at the age of 55- I'm on a kind of diet. Three weeks of much-needed and delightfully lazy annual leave involving a good deal of beer-drinking have inflated my abdominal bulge to unacceptable proportions, so I've been cutting a meal a day and laying off the Holsten Pils over the past week. Until today, that is... drunken )

The same "bathroom mirror" principle could also be applied on a.. one might almost say...ethical/moral level. If I find myself (for whatever reason) behaving like a shit I try to rein my behaviour in a bit- not always successfully, but it doesn't pay to ignore the "agenbite of inwit" (the pang of conscience) TOO much. Or that's what I find. TOO much "agenbite of inwit" is also a bad thing, of course. It's a delicate balance.

there will be a towel over my bathroom mirror for a while then. Embarassed

Shocked

edit.
next morning
well i thought about that over night, and i can look quite clearly at myself in all of the mirrors....thanks goodness.
(just so long as it is head and shoulders only, my waist is a bit broad)

what i want to know is how can you tell when you have had too much weed, too much drink, too much fun, too much love, too much risk, too much caring....
all that kind of stuff.
Sad
