Fall at your feet was originally by Aussie's Crowded House. This is an Aussie cover of it.

I'm including this from respect for Bart Willoughby, the drummer, recovering from a double bypass, and Sellwyn Burns on lead, trying to recover from life.

This was a huge hit in the UK in 1959:

... and we loved this one a couple of years later - heck, we adopted old Rolf as one of our own! I love you :

no offence to anyone,
but that saying would have to be the most loutish and boorish expression of devotion that was ever created.

it is embarrassing, especially when spectators say it at sporting events.

oy,oy,oy.....how piggish.

in my australian opinion....

Aussies obvously 'borrowed' the chant from the Cornish 'Oggie, oggie, oggie - oy,oy,oy!' (an oggie is a Cornish pasty). I remamber singing a variation on the Oggie Song in 1962 - taught by a Plymouth native, so it must've been nearly right:

Main Chorus

And we'll all go back to Oggie land,
To Oggie Land, to Oggie Land,
And we'll all go back to Oggie land,
Where they cant tell sugar from-
tissue paper, tissue paper, marmalade and jam.

Where be going to Jagger? [1]
Oi be going to Looe,
Gor Bugger Jagger, I be going there too.

Oh how happy us will be,
When we gets to the West Countree,
Where the oggies grow on trees,
Gor Bugger Jagger!

(2)
Up to Camborne Hill we go,
Down by Helston Ferry,
Come on Jagger don't be late,
Come on Jagger hurry.

(3)
Half a pound of flour and marge,
Makes lovely clacker,
Just enough for you and me.
Gor! Bugger Jagger.

(4)
You make fast, I'll make fast,
Make fast the dinghy.
You make fast, kiss my arse,
Make fast the dinghy.
And we'll all go back etc.

See http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/navysong/Data/S0022.HTM for more background on the RN Devonport origins of the chant.

It's all coming back to me now, nearly 50 years on! affraid

Where be yon blackbird too
Us knows where 'e be
'E be on yon wurzel bush and us be after 'e
Oh, 'e sees I and I sees 'e
An' 'e knows I be after 'e
With a ruddy great stick I'll clobber 'e
Poor fugger jiugger.
