Do we want a Tech section?

i think we do.
it might not be used very often but i am sure it would be useful when needed.

Certainly somewhere for everyone to talk about their computer issuses in particular.
Moony looks like she would benefit from posting 'the difficulty' she is having, and some one would be able to answer her.
Moony lives in a very isolated district, and this would be a great way for her to gain control over her computer...by learning how to maintain it and use it.
Being able to post a PC problem and be able to get some kind of answer within a few hours would be sooooo good for Moony, and anyone else, as needed.

it would be fun, in a serious kind of way.


I like computers, both as a communication tool and as machines i pay to have built.
I think a thread/section/whatever you call it would be good because then people can ask and learn.....

Yes, i like Technics also.
i had a reasonably good system many years.
sadly, it was lost in a house move.
it was good.

A few too many, IMO.

The "Science" area could be renamed "Science and Technology" to accomodate gadgets, the Beatles could be merged with the Rock section.

That would prune it down by two.

I would also have thought sports were off-topic, but that area already has 31 threads. Evidently lots of people go for that foolishness.

The Beatles section is a relic of original ATU which was founded by a Beatles fan. A Beatles fan who was none too friendly towards the membership when things went haywire. I would tend to agree with pinz. I like the Beatles. And I like the Stones. And all manner of rock 'n' roll. No other artist in r 'n' r has their own section. (Zimmy is a different proposition - just... )

I think it's as well to keep it segregated from the real topics!

But it's your call. I know that when somebody makes too many suggestions, somebody will suggest putting him in charge.
