The red-back screams Slim Dusty's 'Red-back on the toilet seat', and of course 'Old Man Emu' is one of Williamson's finest. Nothing wrong there but if you really are seeking to change your image why don't you veer away from Aussie songs? Just a suggestion, I mean no offense. At one stage I was going to post a you-tube of the Wiggles singing OME (with Steve Irwin)...I didn't in case you thought it was a put-down, rather than an attempt at jest. Very Happy

...note to self: step carefully

The reason oldmanemu calls himself oldmanemu is only 50% to do with the song and 50% with the location in which he resides.
The axatar was chosen for me by some one here . I have not found out who. I thought maybe because red backs are regarded as as an Australian spider was why it was chosen.

I picked it for you!! I only chose that one because it was animated, so a little bit different. No other reason.

Cinco de Mayo 2011

A story told in fractured speech
Inspiring thoughts that aim to teach
The glance that lands on this or that
An old man and his cowboy hat
I caught the train, I made the bus
My head feels like a bird that’s trussed
I know this life is worth it

A tree that grows in tiered layers
The headland in the morning
The soldiers march in ordered pairs
There will be no forewarning
My skin is white, my hair is dark
My eyes are blue with, yes, a spark
The land is scarred and pocked with holes
This life is good, I play no roles
I know that love is worth it

Clinton is Hot! 5/5/2011

Clinton is hot – I have decided
but he’s so damn cocky
I just can’t abide it
he smirks and he sneers
as he changes the gears
he inwardly smiles
as we clock up the miles
he thinks I’m a fool
who’s not very pretty
I try really hard but it ends up so shitty
I glance to the right to see if he’s grinning
he’s sexy as hell and, yeah, he’s duh winning
my buttoned down passion
nocturnal embraces
my heart and my head are in different places
until I dispel this crush so perplexing
drives home with Clinton will always be vexing

The Teams by Henry Lawson

A cloud of dust on the long white road,
And the teams go creeping on
Inch by Inch with the weary load:
And by the power of the green-hide goad
The distant goal is won.

Why "cinco de mayo"... in Spanish?

"This life is good, I play no roles
I know that love is worth it"

The other day I was crying because we die and probably we stop existing and sometimes I get very sad when I think about that for my beloved ones. But I thought of all the love between us and then I relaxed and indeed was happy like I don't mind so much we all die because there's been love and love always be there. Hehehe sorry for being so twee and sorry if I'm getting your lines way too wrong.

I thought I had been in love a lot of times until I really fell in love with someone. So I've been really in love just once also. I didn't even try anything because I was afraid of I don't know what. It was a girl and during that time I met her I kept dating boys like a coward (not that I don't like boys... it's all very complicated to explain). Anyway she now looks down on me, something inside her changed towards me and although I'm not in love with her at all (it's been a long time since I was) there's something I can't change.
