I'm trying not to spoil the Joan-of-Arc-meets-Spartacus movie, but after the last meeting with Julianne Moore everybody in DC knew what was next (Trumbo wishes he wrote this one):

I saw the ironic switcheroo in Rocky VII.

The kid becomes a boxer to escape from the way of life he is trapped in--a mansion in a gated community--it's the dreaded cycle of wealth. Razz

SPOILER ALERT!! SPOILER ALERT!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVwjuoqe-H0

This clip will totally ruin the movie--especially for Spanish speakers (unless they've already read the book anyway, but who reads books?).

One not even need load the clip, because THE CLIP TITLE ITSELF RUINS THE MOVIE, which I was tricked into clicking just to see what the film in question was ... THANKS AGAIN.  Luckily, I have cooled on this franchise because I have grown weary of J-Law's plastic surgery face.

Yakima is probably the only yootoob watcher on the planet to pretend he did not know that the clip title itself always has the spoiler. Rolling Eyes

The pinhed was thinking "Is one spoiler alert warning enough for Yakima?"
no--probably not. So the pinhed warned--not once, not twice, but three times with CAPITAL LETTRES, and multiple exclamation points!!!

So Yakima thinks "I'll just have a little peek at the title. What could go wrong? geek "

Your latest transgression was of little import, as those of us who appreciate real true muy authentico vis–à–vis noble good Woodley have glommed onto the Divergent Insurgent franchise long ago.

While channel surfing I stumbled on Kate Winslet with her hand bandage.

I didn't see the whole thing, just the last part with the spoilers.

The trouble with Divergent is that it's not like real life (I know it's metaphorical and stuff; it's just totally unrealistic).

Hunger Games, on the other hand, is just like real life.

So, I saw the "Star wars" movie.

I thought it was pretty good, although that Ren kid is really lame.

I hope this won't spoil the next two movies, but the girl hero's name is "Rey," and I know what that means even though I only took high-school Spanish. Suspect

A new planet was just discovered. They're calling it "Planet 9 from outer space."

... not making this up. Shocked

I just saw Leo's new movie.

-- Hugh Glass could never have survived in Canada in the winter--he would have froze;

-- If Fitzgerald was alive, he could sue for libel and slander and defamation of character and all around calumniation;

-- Toussaint Charbonneau might also sue, but there might be insufficient evidence to convict;

-- It looked liked by the end [...major spoilers deleted here...], which is easily proven to be untrue.

So the pinhedz question is: fiction movies are fine, but why make a fiction movie and give the fictional characters the names of actual historical peoples?

When Julie Andrews starred in that movie about Jacqueline DuPre, they changed the names so as not to get sued by Daniel Barenboim--isn't that the right way to do it? Or is it considered OK to slander and defame people as long as they're dead?

mr pinz, the doctor suggest that you need to stop being such a negative nancy and focus on the possible positive side effect of this film. hopefully the flock of hipster doofuses with their massive beards and their micro brews and their austin city aesthetics will be whittled down as they fly north for the winter to prove that they too can be as cool as leo the brave lion of hollywoodland.

Part of me wants to say "The doctor is right, woo. I just got up on the wrong side of the bed and the first thing I saw was that the plow still had not come. Mad  I was overcome by a soul destroying sense of negativity that can serve no positive purpose and can only bring down me and the people around me--my bad." Neutral

But then there's the other part of me that wants to tell Dr. John:

Don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,
Like you're some kind of authority,
It's happened to you and it's happened to me,
Don't act like there's sumthin' that you see, that I ... can't ...SEEE

Don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,
.... Doctor,
.... Doctor,
.... Doctor,
.... Doctor,

Don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,
You ain't no miracle re-me-dy,
It's not a cough and it's not a sneeze,
You don't know anything about me, or my ... dis-EASE

Don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,
Pul-EEASE,
Don't pull your love doctor routine on me,

Becuz you ain't my DOCTOR,
Becuz you ain't my DOCTOR,
Uh, uh, ee-ay you ain't my DOCTOR,
You ain't my DOCTOR,

So don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,
Like you know just what my body needs,
Like you feel the way that my heart beats,
But you're just the guy that puts the leaches on, and makes ... me ... BUL-LEEED,

Don't pull you love-doctor routine on me,
Pul-EEEAAASE,
Don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,

Becuz you ain't my DOCTOR,
Ay-ay-ay-ay no you ain't my DOCTOR,
Oh, oh you ain't my DOCTOR
Yeah, yeah you ain't my DOCTOR
Well, because you ain't my DOK-TUH
Becuz you ain't -- my docta
Yeah, well you ain't my docta
You ayen't my, oh yeah, come on,

Don't pull your love-doctor routine on me,
Don't pull, eeyah,
Don't pull you love-doctor routine on me,

Becuz you ain't my,
DOK-TOR!

there's nothing wrong with the microbrewing trend, which been going on for decades, unless you're opposed to tasty beers, not that all of them are tasty, but some of them are ... in any case the trend has upped the quality of beer overall, both micro and macro

i was recently at the Half Moon Bay Brewery & Restaurant, nothing very hipster about it, was family friendly and inviting, and only a few excessively long beards
