Sammy Hagar doesn't have enough Tequila to enable me to listen to that beyond a few moments without wanted to grab her mouth instrument and his string thing and bust them up into little pieces.

Aaaaah, much better.

Some UK musician (I think it was John Lennon) said that when the Comets went to England the yoot of the UK flocked to see them at first, and what they saw was old men and a bald guy with a comb-over. Shocked
John said that then, after the fans had seen then, the Comets were finished...they couldn't give their records away.

All those fifties rock and roll band's end was sealed in fate the day those moptops landed in America, right? Heck, I had a great time at Del's concerts back in 80s, but I never really like any songs by him save Runaway. That fifties rock and roll has its moments, but that's about it for me.

It was ELVIS that made Bill Haley look like a codger.

If somebody got the idea to use this in a movie--I think it would totally work

Yeahbut, you are specifically speaking while I am speaking dem generalities. Then again, I would think El made others like Billy Boy uncool. Thing is, with or without Elvis and his thick hair and his youthful hip shake, the Beatles put folks like Del Shannon and his fifties sound out of bizz. Heck, now that I think about it, I am just regurgitating something that Del told me...while he was eating chicken.
