That guy says critics say DAWN OF PLANET OF APES one of the best, but NOT true - good nice job by ape actors but film so dumbly just a setup for a sequel, fine ... many films are, but stuff has to happen in the meantime and characters have to go thru the changes...

look at EMPIRE STRIKES BACK -  obviously the middle chapter - but Luke goes thru so so many changes learning the Force at Dagobah, learning about his dad, and almost getting killed by his dad, and even Leia and Han too will change, who kiss for first time, which in a PG movie is equal to making sex

what happen in DAWN OF APE PLANET? nothing really - the humans and apes don't like each other at the beginning and they don't like each other at the end, and there are some skirmishes in between, and it is just teasing the REAL WAR to come, between ape and hu-man

that vid clip above has a lot of words but doesn't say very much. In all bootings of the Ape saga, the apes are "mean" because they are mad about being oppressed by humans. But for the original booting, you don't really learn this until "Conquest" I think.
