So now they say there's a movie about this machine, starring Domenico Cumberbatch as Alan Turing:

they say it's Iñárritu's best, but talk about damning with faint praise, he's no Azkabanotronic Cuarón, hehuheboo, Razz Cool Razz nahthoforeel, i think the recepsh is about giving very under~appreciated M. KEATON his dues, byeahhhj

The critics seem to be saying we shouldn't change our plans to see this one, but maybe we won't have to.

I lied about seeing the Turing movie next (it's not even in theaters yet Shocked ), I'm going to see this one about a guy that does a really good job of looking like Stephen Hawking.

They say it doesn't have much physics in it, it's more about Hawking's personnel life.

Maybe the best lesson will be that doctors really don't have any idea how long you're going to live:

I'm going to see this movie about Tommy Lee Jones and Hillary Swank setting out to do good in a mean world.

It also has the true grit girl in it.

Tommy Lee directed it and says it is not a Western:

The critics are saying it can't be a Western because Nebraska is part of the MID-west.

Just so we're clear on this: Nebraska is at the same longitude as Texas, is in the same time zone as Texas, is in the same plains region as Texas and in the same cow-calf production region as Texas. study

But, movies set in Texas are Westerns, while movies set in Nebraska are MID-Westerns.

I think the reasoning is that Texas is more Western than Nebraska, because Texas is farther South. Suspect

The critics are divided. The only thing all the critics agree on is that's it's NOT a Western.

-- Some say it's not a Western because the protagonist is a woman;

-- Some say Nebraska is West, but the movie still isn't a Western;

-- Tommy Lee says it's not a Western, because the characters are heading EAST;

But the pinhead will set the record straight: If Tommy Lee did not want to make a Western he shouldn't have put in so many horses, Indian, desperadoes, and a musical score consisting of a mixed chorus humming stirring tunes obviously written by Dmitri Tiomkin.

So, now that Reese's Pacific Coast hiking movie is out, the critics are comparing it to Mia Wasilkova's Australian camel-lady movie.

The conclusion is that Reese's movie is less boring and has more sex.

That's cool, but the pinhed didn't think the camel-lady movie was boring, because the pinhed is a long-time advocate of getting shed of personal baggage by getting out of the city and onto the trails.

However, the pinhedz new policy is to NOT DO THE TENT THING. bounce

At the end of the day there will be a white tablecloth and a wine list. Smile

Alright, this time I mean it--I'm going to see this one next. bounce

The Wrongington Post always informs us of anything "objectionable" (like sex and violence)  that's in the movie. This one, they say, has "mature thematic material, and historical smoking."

Historical smoking is more acceptable than modern-day smoking (which only a sinister evil-doer or a brazen hussy would do), because parents can explain to their children that the characters lived in a different time before people found out that smoking was bad.

Also, the portable electronic devices had wheels, and couldn't record videos to upload on youtube:

weird, when the Oakland Tribune warns of "historical smoking" - they mean historians smoking pipes ... they also give a milder warning for "hysterical smoking," i.e. combustible cigar gags

There are no more movies to see--I saw them all. Shocked

Unless I want to see "Still Alice," but that's just art imitating life, who needs that? All I have to do is look around me. Neutral

I reckon "Still Alice" is the beginning of the final phase of baby-boomer movies.

This looks like one of those "guilty pleasure" movies, so I'm in. Smile

The critics that want to be more cool than the ordinary cool critics that say "Terrible!" are saying "Not as terrible as you've heard."

How terrible had I supposedly heard? scratch

He did good--he was the best one in the movie.

And Gwyneth Paltrow did good, too (she doesn't not do good).

Best lines in the movie:

Deppster -- "Darling, I'm afraid I shall have to put my foot down!" bounce

Gwyneth -- "Sorry?"

Deppster -- "Ah ... with your permission, of course." silent

[I believe that in the UK "sorry?" means "ya wanna step outside and say that again?" ]
