So, the two-person posse kept a'headin' westerly, and came down from the high country gettin' closer to the coast.

But how in tarnation do they 'spect to find Pinhead Wackerman just by wanderin' around? They need a clue. scratch

I think the only thing that could possibly help them would be some kind of rare and unforeseeable Twist of Fate. geek

By this time they were all out of beans, so they started keeping their eyes peeled for a shopping center of some kind.

And they got lucky and found one (California, after all Razz ).

Mack -- "Looks to be a Jewish establishment, so we can 'spect it's kept up and well stocked." Smile

Bluemoon -- "That's ethnic profiling. Suspect But you're probably right. Rolling Eyes "

And bless my soul if there wasn't a young feller stackin' beans on the shelv as they came in.

Ned -- "Howdy, stranger."

Mack -- "Howdy, young feller. We are pleased to find your establishment so fortuitously situated to assist us in our further travels."

Ned -- "What'cha be needin'?"

Mack -- "We need all 5 food groups: beans, hardtack, beef jerky, tobacco, and rotgut whisky."

Bluemoon -- "watered rotgut whisky would be for the best." bounce

Mack -- "Let me handle this!" Mad

Ned -- "We mostly just got beans."

Mack -- "What kind of beans?"

Ned took a can off the shelf and examined it carefully.

Ned -- " 'Quality' beans."

Mack -- "Ya got any other kind?"

Ned examined another can.

Ned -- " 'Baked' beans."

Mack -- "Alright, then, we'll take two saddle bags worth of baked beans, Mr. … what'd you say your name was?"

Ned -- "Ned."

Mack -- "Ned who?"

Ned -- "Yes, that's right?"

Mack -- "Your name is Ned Who?"

Ned -- "One of 'em."

Mack -- "What else?"

Ned -- "Alias."

Mack -- "Alias what?"

Ned -- "Alias Incognito."

Mack -- "Alias Incognito who."

Ned -- "Yes, that's right."

Mack -- "Who do I complain to if these beans ain't no good?" Suspect

Ned -- "Exactly."

Mack -- "alright then, Mr. Ned Alias Incognito Anonymous Who, since we have happened upon each other, by happenstance, you might say …"

Ned -- "Or by a Simple Twist of Fate, as others might say …" Cool

Mack -- "However y'ur of a mind to say it, it gives me the opportunity to request some information from you, just in case you might have some."

Ned -- "We mostly just got beans."

Mack -- "Nonetheless, as a bonded US Marshall, it is my usual practice to leave no stone unrolled, however unpromising it might be." Rolling Eyes

Ned -- "Then suit yourself, Sheriff."

Mack -- "I am here in search of a certain perpetrator, a worthless scalawag, a lowdown sneaky varmint, a bottom feeding scum-sucking son of a …"

Ned -- "I'm surprised you'd want to associate yourself with such company." Shocked

Mack -- "Well this particular scum-sucker happens to have a big price on his head."

Ned -- "What's the worthless dude's name?"

Mack -- "Pinhead Wackerman, alias Ignatius Paddock, alias God only knows what else.

Ned -- "None of them names Rings Them Bells. What does he look like?"

Mack -- "Weasely--like Johnny Depp."

Ned -- "Ah, that narrows it way down. There ain't but two men in these parts that look like that. One is a pirate captain."

Mack -- "That ain't him. The varmint I'm lookin' for is landlocked.

Ned -- "Then the man you want must be the piano player in Paso Robles. Just ride into town and ask anyone there where Ig-Nace Paderheurski lives."

Mack -- "Pat-her-rearsky?" Shocked

Ned -- "Yeah. Just ask anybody."

Mack -- "That's a made-up name. Any fool can tell that!" Suspect

Like Lt. Columbo 60 years later, Mack often had just one more little thing to ask about. geek

Many patrons never noticed the battered suit of armor off to the side, but Mack, with his keen powers of observation, had spotted it right away. Suspect

Mack -- "Nice looking' set of leisure wear there. Is that for sale?"

Ned -- "No, I reckon it's still got some use left."

Mack -- "It looks like it's had some hard use already."

Ned -- "Ehyeh. No holes through it though." Cool

Mack -- "I reckon a Colt 1911 might make a hole in it."

Ned -- "I'm bettin' it won't."

Mack -- "You wouldn't want to bet on that and be wrong." Shocked

[pause]

Mack -- "Anyways the Colt 1911 has a helluva sweet trigger mechanism." I love you I love you

We mustn't let Feliks get away from us. bounce

As you no doubt guessed, Feliks never cared about the quest for Pinhead Wackerman, and abandoned the posse in search of gainful employment.

But there's more to it than that--he wants gainful employment that will get him into Paderewski's soirees. I love you

That can only mean getting himself into a party band of some kind.

He jumped at the chance to be the new Premier Danseur in the Landrini Brothers Music and Dance review--starring the captivating Usero los Tuyos. I love you

Who would not envy Feliks' opportunity to dance the habanera with Los Tuyos to the seductive strains of this renowned ensemble? What a Face

The Landrini Brothers knew a thing or two about the show biz, as you can tell from the lower left corner of the above photo.
They all got banjos that they can switch to instantly on request.

I owe everyone an apology for my inability to spell "Andrini Brothers" correctly twice in a row. Embarassed

Unfortunately, although the brothers careers lasted about 50 years--and they lived to be big in Las Vegas--they did very little recording. Neutral

Here is a sample of a cover recording (played on an 1890 Umberto Ceccherini instrument Very Happy ), which is, I'm sure, no more than a pale shadow of the languorous and seductive original (the guitar accompaniment is unfortunately very limp, and the mando rather plodding and mechanical):

So Mrs. Pinz went shopping and the pinhed says "get a bottle of wine as long as you're out."

Who knew she'd come back with something from the Paso Robles appellation Shocked

Coincidence? Suspect

Lost Angel in Paso Robles is gaining a reputation for red wines with great depth of flavour and colour, approachable lush texture, and appealing fruit-driven characters.

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Paso Robles appellation, benefit from the hot day time temperatures and cool night time temperatures. Throughout the late afternoon, the breezes from the cold Pacific Ocean flow through the coastal mountains, allowing the grapes to develop fresh, big, characteristics.

Crafted to maximise the natural strengths of the local terrior, this wine is proof that the modern wines of Paso Robles are among the most exciting in California.

The entertainment line-up is exceptional in both quality and eclecticism. Here are the acts as listed in the program:

1. Richard Fitzgood -- virtuoso solo guitar and songs accompanied by guitar

2. Jelly Roll Bluebottle -- folk novelty songs with mandolin-harp accompaniment

3. The Stray Cats -- an ensemble of ladies well accomplished on plucked-string instruments

4. Basil Andrews -- balalaika virtuoso with harp-guitar accompaniment

5. Dave Apollon and his Filipino Boys -- virtuoso mandolin with orchestral accompaniment, the latest sensation sweeping the West Coast

6. The Andrini Brothers Music and Dance Review -- Romantic strings and electrifying dancers

There are a few things that Paderewski is not expecting. First, Dave Apollon is the evil nemesis of Basil Andrews (who is actually Vasily Vasilievich Andreyev Shocked ):

Second, Paderewski does not know that "Basil" (Andreyev) will be accompanied by his past intern Amanda (aka Anna Vasil’yevna Kushchyenko affraid ):

Fifthly, Paderewski does not know that uninvited guest Ignatius Paddock (aka Pinhead Wackerman) is a fugitive with Mack and Bluemoon in relentless pursuit.

[Not to mention that Pinhead still has a thing for Alice Hibbing--Paderewski's current love interest silent ).
