The Invention of EL GUSTO: Jumex and the perfection of fresco delicious néctar con especias de los guepardos

Jumex Group was founded on April 27th of 1961 with the creation of Empacadora de frutas y jugos.

With only 20 employees, this packing company began extracting and producing juices and nectars with the best fruit production in the country.

The 6th of July of that same year saw the first production: a 350ml can of apple juice. This can didn’t have any lithography, just a label with the Frugo brand on it, and it was sold to the public at $1.65. After that, other fruits started being packed.

In 1964 came the 350ml little blue can, trademarked under the Jumex name, and it was quickly identified as the best beverage among all juices and nectars in Mexico.

By 1965, production was in high demand. The company grew a lot, and Jumex Mexican plants located in the vicinity of Aragon moved to Xalostoc neighbourhood, with the latest technology available at the time.

In 1973, the Botemex project began with the launching of the 350ml Vigor can: a new product targeted at children, similar to the Jumex can, only with red lithography.

In 1974, the plant acquired an evaporating machine, whose function was to produce a juice concentrate to be packed in containers for storage. This was a major technological breakthrough in the preservation of perishable products, and contributed enormously to later strides in packing technology. In addition, Jumex was an innovator in the process of electric sealing with copper.

In 1978, the company acquired machinery for packaging 165ml cans, a new presentation that was launched under the Jumex brand. A year later (1979), Jugomex opened a new production plant in Tulpetlac, Estado de Mexico.

Eugenio López Alonso is the founder of the Colección Jumex. It is one of the largest private modern art collections in the Americas, and said to be the largest in Latin America. His first museum space is within the Grupo Jumex’s food-processing plant in the suburbs of Mexico City. It now comprises around 1,200 works, about half by Latin American artists, most younger than 45. International artists collected by Mr López include Olafur Eliasson, Francis Alÿs, Doug Aitken, and Maurizio Cattelan, among many others.

And "eye job" is pronounced "eye yob" as in "she had an eye yob, si mira she had an eye yob; she had an eye ... yob, si mira she had an eye yob."

Astronaut Alan Shepard was a big fan. Too bad he didn't realize his stolid chortles were downright hurtful to NASA's latin-o custodial staff. Crying or Very sad

Heh, I used to be the lowliest sea offal-schlepper at the Port of Oakland, and one season was dubbed best in Contra Costa and Solano Counties, bagging the coveted Jack London Commendation for Craftiness and Diligence... not bragging, just stating simpel facts.
