It never rains in SoCal, it pours...and boy is it ever presently.

That's all right, mama, that's all right with me, rain is better at masking the tears then sun glasses.

It turns out that the GNR Tavern has no connection to the real Great Northern Railroad, furthermore, the Smithfield Refrigerator works is nowhere near the Smithfield Ham company. Shocked

I say, except no substitutes:

GNR - the Great Northern Railway (the original; accept no substitute alien ) operated in the UK from 1846 until 1923, when it was absorbed into the newly formed London & North Eastern Railway (LNER).

The US GNR seems to date from 1857, as the Minnesota & Pacific Railroad, or 1856, as the Minneapolis & St. Cloud Railroad.  As the Great Northern Railway (GN) it dates from around 1881.  Sez wikipedia.

The Smithfield refigerator works presumably take their name from London's Smithfield meat market.

Adler left because he was fired, then he had a drug-induced stroke. Duff left because his pancreas exploded, literally. Izzy left because he switched from heroin to tea and realized he needed heroin to tolerate Axl.
