I've been listening to a lot of this stuff recently.
It's SO good that I've been puzzling over why this great outfit never made it bigger.
Reluctantly, I've come to the conclusion- great songs notwithstanding- that this may be attributed to the fact that the lead singer was so much SHORTER than the other members of the band.
The perils of having a talented short-arse as a front man.

I tried Parker in the 70s and didn't/couldn't get it. I'm gonna try again. What should I listen to in particular? Howlin' Wind? Squeezing Out Sparks? Something else?
