'Exit'

Post  Woo on Thu Feb 09, 2012 7:59 pm

"There used to be a time when the idea of heroes was important. People grew up sharing those myths and legends and ideals. Now they grow up sharing McDonalds and Disneyland." Bob Dylan (New York, 1989).

4:31am. San Fernando Valley. Somewhere in the future. Somewhere in the past.

Alarm clock sounds for a few minutes then fades away:

Tap water runs. Small black kettle filled. Flame. Two tablespoons of Lion cofffee placed into a French Press.

Rugged man with bushy but neat black and silver hair looks through yesterday's work mail. He stands barefoot wearing black boxers and white tank-top.

"Department of Justice...." is seen on large, brown envelope.

Adam's bass is heard playing and building from the beginning portion of 'Exit' by U2.

From the envelope the man pulls out a book: 'A Pinheaded Guide Through Minnisota.'

"Fuck me."

A textbook example of Mr. Dylan's NPD ( Nostalgic Personality Disorder ) in which the afflicted view their surroundings as a fallen wasteland and escape in their minds to an imaginary yesteryear when all the world was very young and mountain magic heavy hung. This disorder forms the basis of Mr. Dylan's schtick and product line.
