Just be yourself, doll.

I don't know, banning seems silly, especially here. I mean, compared with a lot of things that are said across the wild world innernet, this is pretty tame. We don't have any snot nosed kids spouting off profanity laced tirades, cretins who get off on abusing others, personal threats.....it's for the most part a fairly mature crowd. It is(and would be nice) to know that an occasional off-color rant would not result in a ban. If you're anything like myself, in real life you are constantly on guard to conduct yourself in a polite, professional, and courteous manner....staying neutral of opinion and offense. If I can't come on the net to vent every once in a while, i'ma might just esplode! Evil or Very Mad

Exceptions to rules often end up causing problems. Because if one exception can be justified there will always be other cases coming up , which based on the the origiinal exception have the same reasons to also be regared as an exception.

Is that a confirmed true fact? Suspect

And is Arturo Sandoval the new Maynard Ferguson?

And should I be asking that in the jazz area instead of here? geek

I think it was the same time when couch Mourinho would bitch about whatever to make football a different question that Cristiano was that arrogant, when people would shout "Messi, Messi" wherever he traveled. And you could see he was angered and frustrated. But another season, it seemed, he stopped that attitude of calling himself the greatest while that didn't keep him from still loving himself.

I prefer honest arrogance over false humility ... the truth is that to be a top athlete, you must have an uber-confidence that most mortals would consider arrogance, so I don't really buy the popular "I'm just a regular guy" schtick that Mr. Messi and his ilk seem so fond of dispensing

why do people want their super-heroes to be nice, regular people? Isn't Tony Stark more interesting than Peter Parker?

Guardiola's law of false humility was ridiculous but Cristiano's arrogance at some point too.

I mean, it's not really as you put it. I don't think people want sportmen that won't believe they can be unique and love themselves for that, but also that's got to make sense in its way

the shouts of messi messi I understood them as humour, since nothing was said about Cristiano; instead there was only the naming of someone who wasn't even there, and it viraled outside Spain too

how do you translate superhero to any part of the world?

i dig Mr. CR7 because he is like a fictional character- he has similarities to antagonists of 1980s sports movies, with touches of pre-War matinee idol promotional acumen.

some master athletes just show up and do their job and that is that, like such as the famous Buster Posey ... others need psychological motivational rubrics ... with a Michael Jordan, it was inventing false conflicts and imaginary shoulder chips. for a CR7 or an Ickey Woods, it is "I am for sure greatest champeen in Milky Way Galaxy and probably NGC 6744"
