If Dr. Ben wants to pedal pills and powders, he should stop showing pictures of tomatoes and veggies. Mad

Also, he should explain how it is that calcium in your diet reduces your risk of getting kidney stones--but calcium pills INCREASE your risk of getting kidney stones. Suspect

Dean sez:

"Stewart influenced our debates and discourses. He made an important impact on a funding bill for first responders who had suffered chronic illness while working at ground zero. In 2010, Senate Republicans blocked the vote to help these men and women in need. Stewart responded by using his show as a platform to raise awareness in hopes of spurring action by Congress."

The reasoning is that a show-biz President could get his way, not by making deals with Congress, but by bending Congress to his will by bringing the power of public opinion to bear against them. So he'd be running the country by bringing the general public into the day-to-day legislative process.

Maybe we should try electing a show-biz President one time, just so that it will never happen again.

No--we never did that.

If you mean Reagan was show-biz because he'd made movies and sold Borax, he was still strictly politico-biz as President (by then he'd been in Politics for over 10 years and a Governor for 8 years). He never used a TV show to called on the public to legislate, he worked with Congress and just smiled and waved at the public.

The essence of nature and the life-altering discoveries in science led us to the creation of an extraordinary collection of premier health, weight and fitness and skin care products. Mining aloe vera for the unique sugar (mannose) responsible for its immune-boosting benefits, we isolated a new class of nutrients—glyconutrients—that complete the cellular alphabet of our body’s communication system.

The result: Classic Ambrotose® complex, a powerful daily supplement designed to fortify your body’s defense system, starting with your cells. We then leveraged this discovery to develop more exciting products using Real Food Technology® solutions—an innovative method of creating products with the most natural and plant-sourced ingredients that have been scientifically proven to benefit the human body.*

We introduced the revolutionary Ambrotose products nearly 20 years ago. Since then, our Classic Ambrotose complex has remained the foundation for Mannatech’s health solutions.

We believe that no other combination of vitamins, minerals, amino acids or herbals can provide the benefits found in our Ambrotose complex. And more importantly, the technology behind this amazing product has received more than 50 patents worldwide over the past 20 years.
