Re: Lazy
I uploaded an acoustic piece because my drummer is 1000 miles away right now so we haven't recorded anything for the last week.

first of all i seem to be already a 'like' for Lazy,. so that is good.
i just listened to your Quay of Sea, and it sounds good.
Re: Lazy
...Quay of Sea...
...great name. As a (compared to you) geriatric I hope you aren't offended when I say, paladin, that that's my kind of music.
...it's got that sitting on a wharf staring out to sea in the calm between storms kind of feel.

Re: Lazy
I write a lot of music like this. I can't sing or write lyrics so it's all just instrumental acoustic guitar. I don't share them with the world because I don't have the chops of Tommy Emmanuel or Andy McKee.
by the way, the title is a pun...or at least it was supposed to be. The song isn't in the key I thought it was in when I chose it...

...I think I got the pun
...I met Tommy Emmanuel a long time ago at the Tamworth Folk Festival. The roadies said he can make the strings of a guitar talk but can't string two lines together to carry a converstion. A lot of kids who grow up on the road are like that. They communicate better through music. Tommy and his brother Phil grew up with guitars in their hands travelling the music circuits with their parents. Anyway, we were all staying at the same motel and Tommy gave us an impromptu performance in the car park that was just on fire.
...I love listening to instrumental guitar.
...for the past few days I've been trying to find a good version of 'Final Theme', from Pat Garret and Billy the Kid, to post in the what are you listening to? thread. It's such a beautiful instrumental piece. I couldn't find it so I posted 'Cantina Theme' instead. Quay of Sea, for me, has a similar mood to Final Theme.

Re: Lazy
I posted another instrumental acoustic piece here: https://acrosstheuniverse.forummotion.com/t53p180-things-you-wanted-to-say#12323
if you wanna listen
It's pretty simple and repetitive.
Thanks man...I didn't know who Fahey was but I looked him up.

The recording on this one really sucks... and it was really hard to piece it all together using only audacity.

Re: Lazy
You don't need dropbox installed to view dropbox files. Just update Quicktime.
