Has TV run out of ideas?
Well, has it?
I think it has.
Looking back over the last decade or so, I think there were a few straws in the wind indicating that this is indeed the case:
1. Big Brother: TV films its own viewers for the delectation of...er...its own viewers.
2. The Royle Family: sitcom about a family on a sofa...er...watching TV.
3. Numerous "Best of..." progs.
4. What, for example, is 'The X Factor' (etc.) but 'Opportunity Knocks' or 'New Faces' revisited?
5. The return of Dr Who.
So....new ideas for TV programmes, please. It would be interesting to see whether you can come up with something that hasn't been done before.

That's not really true and wouldn't be inherently bad even if it were.

Depends on how "real" it is. Shows like Pawn Stars obviously have writers.

Re: Has TV run out of ideas?
...I can't get television reception...there's a techie who fixes such things staying at the caravan park till september 16th...he's just come to my place to give me a quote.
...I have to get a satellite dish, then hire a labourer to install a steel post (there's one at the tip) in the ground in 2 feet of concrete so he can mount the dish on it. The labourer then has to dig a trench from the fence to the corner of the house (shed) so he can lay the cable...there are too many trees for him to put the dish on the roof.
...when/if the trench and post are done he can do the install
...hmmm...Paladin...want a job?

I don't care as long as they keep showing Takeshi's Castle
The slippery wall was so funny
It was surprising when I was older and I discovered Takeshi was the film maker Takeshi Kitano
