Gopez was wondering about the line "the European cannon is here!!!?!?!?11!1?1"

LORFLOF, I explained that it was "European canon" ... for yu see at the time Bowi was getting bored with the mongoloid blues-based rokpop product, and was getting super pumped about "Teutonic" happenings like Moroder & Faltenmeyer producing Donna Summers offering the next day of sound, or the "sour-kraut boogies" of say Jaki Liebezeit, or Uwe Nettlebeck ...possibly even a lil Wolfgang Flur, or a Conny Plank featuring Neuimaier & Moebius, or a Klaus Dinger, or you know say... say ....say .... ehh.... a Zappi Diermaier flanked by Lucki Stipetic with a side of cremige kuchen, bango!

Bowei finally found eternal true true loving with the Somalian Princess and boot model, IMAN.  Perhaps IMAN is most celebrated for her crackling work with the legendary Bill Shatner on STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY(featuring a cameo with a certain badd boy ... ... CHRISTIAN SLATER [ who has to wake up CAPTAIN Sulu from space naps {heeghh that right, I said CAPTAIN Sulu, the old jap adaptor finally got his own commission for a star-cruiser, after decades of getting Koening's smolensk goat}])

After STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY, in 2013, David Bowe's wife may have inadvertently divulged that her husband is booking some concerts. With rumours swirling about the singer's return to the stage, Iman has suggested that the 66-year-old plans to tour.

It's just a throwaway line, but it could be a major revelation: Bowie hasn't performed live since a November 2009 gig with Hell's Kitchen Minge Tart Alicia Keys. Just as he kept recording of ~Next Item~ secret, Bowee hasn't made any announcements about whether he plans to hit the road, Jaques. His collaborators have received differing messages. Earl "The Earl of Slick" Slickington was saying: "I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. David did candy-gram us about live dates, and I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. David didn't. Here I am, not quite whining."

But Count "Money" Visconti, Bowie's puppet-blaster, showed way less optimism. "Davey is fairly adamant he's never gonna perform live again," Visconti revealed to NME. "One of the guys would say, 'Boy, how are we gonna do all this live?' and David said, 'We're not'. He made a point of saying that all the time."

Well even today the Low record sounds quite nowtro, but at the time, some found it galling, unsettling, unholy.  Ace session man Stumpy Pepys remarked, "hey, this hollow sound you have hear ... is the sound of perceptions from speed drugs abusing, isn't it? That is not right." To certain citizens the Low album sounded like it was having the pretenses of rocks music yet but compacted and dremmeled so all of rock's thrusty shagg juice and dirt froth was squeezed & drained away.

Celebrated sonic scientist & dance doctor Tone Visconti implemented compressors, limiters, gates, equalization, and the harmonizer unit to give the drums that brittle, sizzling, spooky seasoning and also like could employ flanged low frequency oscillating ring modulators to imbue a murky, lurky vibe to the bass pool or whatever.

Nopez was awondrin, why come the instrumentalist side 2 of LOW is so much more proper than side 2 of next release HEROES?   Wellsee, for Low Side B, Brine Eno pretty much did all the tracks himself in the afternoons when Bowie was off exploring Berlin's jaded transvestite police/traffic officers of the New Objectivity community.  Then if needs be, Bowie would be coming in and adding chants over Brine's tracks.

But for with HEROES LP, Bowie said "oi I can make non eventful electro-ambient tone poems as good as the next dragoon" but all Bowei cud be thinking to do was like filter sweep the white noise generator while plonking on pianos or kotos routed thru cranked-up Fostex reverb module, whereas you seee Brine based his tracks around cybernetic heuristics and game theory mapped out via indeterminate, emergent flow charts.

But Boewie make the good save on side 2 of HEROES, by closing things out with THE SECRET LIFE OF ARABIA which correctly prophesizes Al-Quadoo's assault on the Kenyan Embassy and also prophesizes militia commander Muqtada al-Sadr's obsession with Super Mario Bros. 3

Bowie eventually got a bit squinty-eyed and couldn't do his Katherine Hepburn schtick anymore:

Muqtada al-Sadr's obsession with Super Mario Bros. 3

I thot we all agreed never to mention that satanic game ... the game where, Mario will put on animal suits to attain assorted awesome powers ... so if he wants to swim so far, he will be putting on the FROG SUIT, and if he wants to fly, he will be putting on the ... RACOON SUIT???!?!?!???  What the fudge?  But consider, this may be just the previously established ENDEMIC JAPANESE MISREPRESENTATIONS OF RACOONS, but taken to entirely uncharted dimensions of japmadness.

hahohe, Bhoutros was riffing on that at the last Circuit Reapers meeting.

Dunno, maybe the raccoon population of Nippon is smallish and the people have not glimpsed the true nature? So the Easterners are able to imagine the coon as cute, cuddly, or even magical and restorative? And they are remaining ignorant of the black soul of the coon? Raccoon the vile schemer whose manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities are so often employed in the service of sadism and spite, refuting the notion that such traits belong solely to the fallen human. Ugh, just do NOT get me started on these contemptible critter criminals ... no strike that, "critter" is too cute a word for the furry fiends. Eternal vigilance is the wearying price of living in a land infected with the coon: cancer of the forest, suburbia's scourge, despoiler of dreams.
