do memory sticks transfer viruses?
...I have a question...
I madly tried to save stuff onto small memory sticks as my computer was flashing virus alerts .
Now that I have a 'clean' computer, will I put the viruses or whatever the problem was back into the computer if I try to retrieve the data from the memory sticks?
I was about to copy some stuff I'd written about Antonin Artaud a long time ago...and when I couldn't find it realised it only exists on the memory stick.

yes. YES ...YES ...
viruses (and every other piece of digital infection) can be transferred from your memory stick to the new computer.
you have to do a scan first.
connect the stick, go to My Computer, right click and then click on scan (or whatever similiar words MSE uses) and let it run.
