i do apologise if asdf is one of my friends using a new name.....that is what happens when you re-create yourself often enough...

Wow I didn't think creating a new account would be any kind of upsetting action here.

It's easy.
I stopped posting and visiting ATU. One month later I visit ATU again and want to post something. I feel uncomfortable with my previous account so I create a new one. Someone who I know welcomes me and I think it's polite to say hi and I feel like saying hi to that person. But I didn't create my account to pretend I'm someone else (or to seek attention or to play games or to fool anybody) so I say I'm not really new. That's all.

Why people overreact to something so simple and unimportant... is beyond me.

I liked that last one too... when I chose it. I usually grow tired of my choices.
I have no avatar and the name is the first thing someone types when they don't feel like thinking about a name and just follow the order of the keybord... all very inspiring hehe. I'll choose one when I find something I specially like for some reason.

No problem, Tatiana. Maybe I took your words too seriously. The internet shows that many times you have no idea about the effect your words or actions will have on others.

That makes me think of one thing I'm always insecure about: measure. It's like we (or at least me) need to measure things comparing them with other's and sometimes you just don't know what the "right" measure is and I just feel like in that Leonard Cohen song...

Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
won't be nothing
nothing you can measure anymore

...but possibly my identity crisis is yet to come
