Difference between wolves and dogs

Post  pinhedz on Fri Sep 16, 2011 5:38 am

In Pavlovian conditioning studies, a difference between wolves and dogs was noted (I read this somewhere). A wolf (or dog) is trained to get food by pressing a lever. After he's trained, what will the wolf (or dog) do if he presses the lever and there's no food?

-- The wolf will just keep pressing the lever.

-- The dog will press the lever a few times, and then turn to the researcher with a look that says "It's not working, doc, could you call maintenance?"
